Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer
South London, Kent borders – Flexible Working
Salary: £40k to £50k – DOE
Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services / MEP / Consultancy / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
This role is to join a thriving practice of mechanical and electrical building services design engineers. They cover a range of projects in sectors including pharmaceutical, education, industrial, financial, hotels, leisure, health, and residential.
You will be a mechanical design engineer at either an intermediate level and upon joining will become part of a highly supportive team environment where you’ll feel like a trusted, valued professional and colleague from day one. Responsibilities – Mechanical Design Engineer
- Design, manage, and supervise projects
- Produce drawings and specifications
- Carry out concept design to detailed design through to tender and completion
- Attend project progress meetings
- Maintain client and design team relationships
- Have a strong awareness of low carbon design
- Manage projects from inception through to completion

Experience Required
- Proven experience as a mechanical design engineer within building services
- Preferably degree qualified
- A desire to become chartered would be beneficial
- Experience in the design of health projects would be beneficial
- Knowledge of British Standards
- Excellent communication and written skills
