Intermediate Mechanical Estimator

Pre-Construction & MEP Delivery

Technical Services Business

Central London

£50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

A growing technical-services business within a major construction group is looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to support its expanding pre-construction team in Central London.

This is a strong opportunity for an intermediate-level estimator to join a new and ambitious business unit at an early stage of its growth. The team delivers technical-services management, self-delivered MEP packages and decarbonisation-led engineering works across the group’s commercial project portfolio.

You will support tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with senior commercial, pre-construction, technical and delivery colleagues. The role offers exposure to commercial fit-out, refurbishment and technical-services projects, with clear scope to develop as the business grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
