Intermediate - Senior Building Surveyor
Manchester | Construction Consultancy | Up to £60,000 + Benefits

If you're an experienced Building Surveyor looking for more responsibility, greater project exposure and a consultancy that will back your progression, this could be a great next move.
I'm working with an established and forward-thinking construction consultancy that's continuing to build its presence across the Northwest. Their Manchester team is growing, and they're looking for an Intermediate or Senior Building Surveyor who wants the opportunity to take ownership of their work and build a career with a business that genuinely invests in its people.
Your week won't look the same twice.
The project portfolio spans education, healthcare, residential, commercial and public sector clients, giving you the chance to work across both professional surveying instructions and project delivery.
You could be:
- Inspecting - condition, defect, measured and dilapidation surveys
- Advising - providing technical guidance around refurbishment, maintenance, repair and improvement works
- Delivering - managing contract administration and projects from initial instruction through to completion
- Preparing - specifications, schedules of work, tender documentation and detailed technical reports
- Developing - strengthening client relationships, generating repeat opportunities and becoming a trusted adviser
- Leading - supporting junior surveyors and APC candidates while continuing to develop your own career

What will make you stand out?
They're looking for someone with a solid consultancy background who is ready to operate with a good level of autonomy.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Around 4+ years' consultancy experience
- MRICS status or be actively working towards chartership
- Strong experience across professional and project-based surveying
- The confidence to manage instructions and projects independently
- Excellent technical, report writing and client-facing skills
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach
- The ability to build relationships and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
