Job Details
A leading building services consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in Glasgow.
The Glasgow office is delivering a diverse and technically challenging portfolio of projects across the built environment, with a strong pipeline of work in healthcare, education, commercial, residential, mixed-use developments, airport infrastructure and MOD projects. The organisation operates within an innovative and collaborative environment, consistently delivering high-quality engineering solutions and building long-term client relationships.
The Role
This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, contributing to the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across all stages of the design process. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary design teams, attend client and project meetings, and support the delivery of high-quality technical solutions.
Depending on experience, the role may involve leading projects, managing design delivery, and mentoring junior engineers, while also contributing technical expertise and creative input to complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of electrical building services systems across all project stages
- Collaboration with internal teams and external consultants to deliver coordinated design solutions
- Attendance at client, design team and site meetings
- Preparation of design calculations, specifications and technical documentation
- Use of industry-standard software including AutoCAD and ideally Revit
- Supporting innovation through the application of new techniques and technologies
- (Senior level) Leading projects and mentoring junior engineers

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience within Building Services Engineering
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services design
- Experience working across a range of building sector projects
- Confident communicator with experience in client-facing environments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with Revit experience desirable
- Ability to obtain full security clearance
- Ideally Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership (for senior candidates)
