Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Working
The Opportunity
We're seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a respected multidisciplinary consultancy delivering technically complex projects across the life sciences, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.
Based in Cambridge, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of cutting-edge developments, working closely with clients and project teams to create sustainable, high-performing building services solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design of building services systems including LV distribution, lighting, and standby power.
- Deliver project designs from concept through to construction.
- Prepare calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage project deliverables, quality, and programme requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.

About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer within a Building Services Consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare, laboratory, commercial, or education projects.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, DIALux, and Amtech/Trimble ProDesign.
- Working towards or holding IEng/CEng status.
