We are currently supporting a number of well-established Building Services Consultancies across Winchester and the surrounding Hampshire area with the recruitment of Intermediate and Senior Mechanical Design Engineers.

These opportunities are available with a range of multidisciplinary and specialist MEP consultancies, offering exposure to a variety of projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare, education, life sciences, mixed-use, and data centre sectors.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Design and development of mechanical building services systems
  • Producing mechanical calculations, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Hevacomp, and IESVE, depending on the role
  • Supporting projects from concept and detailed design through to completion
  • Attending site visits, surveys, and client meetings where required
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
  • Taking increasing ownership of projects and client relationships at Senior level
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where appropriate

Typical Requirements

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Previous experience within a UK Building Services Consultancy
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services design, UK Building Regulations, and relevant CIBSE guidance
  • Experience using relevant design software, particularly Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • For Senior positions, experience taking ownership of projects, liaising with clients, and mentoring junior engineers
