About the Company
Our client, a growing digital consultancy, is seeking a UX Designer to help create clear, accessible and user-centred digital services.
About the Role
Working within multidisciplinary agile teams, the successful candidate will collaborate with user researchers, developers, product specialists and other designers to understand user needs and translate research insights into effective design decisions. The role offers opportunities to strengthen professional and consultancy skills, advise clients on user-centred design and contribute to a wider design community. The advertised salary range reflects the entry point and progression available within this level.
Responsibilities
- Work within multidisciplinary agile teams using a people-centred design process.
- Design end-to-end user journeys that deliver effective and intuitive experiences.
- Use user research findings and performance metrics to identify pain points and improve designs.
- Produce user journey maps, sitemaps, navigation structures and annotated wireframes.
- Support user researchers with usability testing.
- Test and iterate designs in collaboration with users, clients and delivery teams.
- Facilitate workshops with team members and stakeholders.
- Advise clients on how to apply UX design effectively within their services.
- Share knowledge and best practice with colleagues across the design community.
- Help clients build the capability to continue improving services after consultancy support ends.

Qualifications
- Strong UX design skills and experience contributing to user-centred digital services.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary agile teams.
- Strong understanding of UX design for mobile and web services.
- Ability to identify and anticipate user interactions, including common journeys, edge cases and less typical scenarios.
- Experience producing user journeys, wireframes, navigation structures and related design documentation.
- Experience using rapid prototyping tools.
- Ability to demonstrate relevant design work.
- Knowledge of emerging design, UX and technology trends, with a willingness to investigate and develop new approaches.
- Strong consultancy skills and an understanding of client needs and motivations.
- Ability to communicate design knowledge clearly and support others in developing their capability.
- Willingness to travel and work from office or client locations for at least two days per week, depending on project requirements.

Pay range and compensation package
- Salary: £38,500–£47,000 per annum
