Imagine sourcing soy from Poland but calculating its impact using French data — because that’s all you can find. Poland’s electricity still relies heavily on coal.

Using the wrong country’s data to make a multimillion-pound sourcing decision? Pretty ridiculous.

Unibloom is the innovative data company for sustainable procurement — making trusted climate and sourcing data instant, accessible and easy to act on. We help companies cut procurement costs while accelerating their climate transition. Founded by Anna Sandgren (former global business developer at Ben & Jerry’s), we’re a team of scientists, LCA experts, ML specialists and AI engineers — already a trusted data partner to SAP and a major Swedish consultancy group, focused on food and fashion.

A hybrid role at the intersection of Lifecycle assessment, Environmental data, Data engineering & automation, Product development, ML data preparation, Scientific QA, Customer analysis

Five things you’ll drive

  • Produce defensible LCA and emissions analyses.
  • Develop reliable, reusable environmental datasets and data pipelines.
  • Protect the scientific quality of Unibloom’s products.
  • Support emissions-prediction and automated-LCA capabilities.
  • Make scientific knowledge reproducible — less dependent on any one person.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Strong grasp of LCA: functional units, system boundaries, lifecycle stages, emission factors.
  • Sustainability knowledge beyond carbon emissions.
  • Confident working with quantitative environmental / scientific data.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (formulas, lookups, structured tables, data-quality checks).
  • Sharp eye for missing values, duplicates, outliers and formatting issues in messy datasets.
  • Careful with units, locations, years, sources and metadata.
  • Structured research skills across papers, technical reports and database docs.
  • Clear written communication; documents sources, assumptions and work done.
  • Asks questions and flags uncertainty rather than guessing.
