We are currently looking for a forward-thinking and results-oriented Intern to join the Private Markets Trade Finance Team!

The position will be based in our London office.

About the Job

The Private Markets Trade Finance Team manages a diverse range of investment opportunities across the trade finance spectrum. The team works with a broad set of investment types, ranging from large-scale trade finance facilities to football transfer receivables and media finance transactions.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse range of private credit investments. You will work alongside experienced portfolio managers and credit analysts on transactions spanning traditional trade finance, SME lending, football transfer receivables, independent film finance and other specialty finance asset classes.

What you do

  • Perform corporate credit analysis on prospective investments, including financial modelling and analysis of large datasets.
  • Evaluate existing portfolio positions and contribute to investment recommendations.
  • Assist with trading and interact directly with banks, fintech platforms and other sourcing partners.
  • Support portfolio management activities, including daily cash reconciliations and liquidity monitoring.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams during month-end processes, including fund monitoring and investor reporting.

What you bring

  • Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
  • Previous internship experience in finance, asset management, audit, banking, consulting or a related field is highly desirable
  • Strong interest in credit investing, private markets and financial analysis
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of VBA or other programming languages is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
  • Proactive, intellectually curious and eager to learn.
