Role Description

The Internal Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Basingstoke. This role focuses on managing and developing relationships with existing customers, handling day-to-day inquiries, preparing quotations, and processing orders to ensure a smooth end-to-end customer experience. The Internal Account Manager will coordinate with sales, procurement, and technical teams to track deliveries, resolve issues, and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell IT solutions aligned with client requirements and sustainability goals. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, monitoring account performance, supporting external account managers, and contributing to sales initiatives and reporting. The role also involves proactive communication with clients to understand their needs, provide product information, and support long-term partnership growth.

  • Customer relationship management skills, including experience handling client inquiries, maintaining accounts, and delivering excellent service.
  • Sales and account development abilities, such as preparing quotations, identifying upsell opportunities, and supporting revenue growth.
  • Administrative and organizational skills, including order processing, CRM data management, and accurate documentation.
  • Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and present information clearly to customers.
  • Understanding of IT products and solutions or a strong willingness to learn about the IT industry and related services.
  • Ability to work on-site in Basingstoke, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, and CRM tools); prior experience in an internal sales or account management role is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability, ESG, or CSR initiatives, and alignment with Sumillion’s charitable and community-focused values.
