Role Description

The Internal Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dereham, responsible for managing and developing relationships with existing customers. Day-to-day activities include handling customer inquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, and coordinating with operations and logistics to ensure service delivery aligns with client requirements. The role involves monitoring account performance, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Avena’s secure destruction services, and supporting contract renewals. The Internal Account Manager will maintain accurate records in CRM systems, prepare reports on account activity, and collaborate with colleagues to improve customer experience and retention. This position requires a proactive, organized professional who can balance administrative tasks with customer-facing communication.

  • Strong customer relationship management skills, including account handling, client communication, and service follow-up.
  • Proficiency in administrative and coordination tasks such as order processing, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records in CRM or similar systems.
  • Solid commercial awareness with the ability to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and support pricing and quotation activities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams (operations, logistics, finance) and external stakeholders.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Comfort using standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing) and learning company-specific systems.
  • Prior experience in account management, customer service, or sales support, ideally within B2B or service-based environments.
  • Understanding of data protection, secure destruction, or related compliance-driven sectors is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Dereham and collaborate effectively in a team-based office environment.
