Internal Audit Manager

Want to use your audit expertise in an organisation that helps millions of people save for retirement?

We're looking for an Internal Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit team at People's Partnership. You'll provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control arrangements across one of the UK's largest workplace pension providers, supporting our growth and transformation agenda while helping us deliver good outcomes for our members.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced internal audit practitioner to lead audits across some of the most important activities within a large workplace pension provider, including pension administration, member servicing, scheme governance, outsourcing arrangements, operational resilience and member outcomes. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing meaningful insight and challenge on key pension risks, regulatory developments and operational issues that influence member outcomes and pension service delivery.

Given the nature of the role, we're particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of the pensions sector, including pension administration, scheme operations or trustee governance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
