Internal Audit Manager – Financial Services
Location: London
Salary: £80,000
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Hybrid
We are partnered with a global banking organisation looking to appoint an Audit Manager to its London Internal Audit team.
This is an opportunity to join an established global audit function, assessing and challenging risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance across a complex financial services environment. The position offers broad exposure across the organisation and regular interaction with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver audits across financial services businesses and functions, assessing the effectiveness of the control environment.
- Develop a strong understanding of business activities, objectives, processes, and associated risks.
- Manage the full audit lifecycle, from planning and risk assessment through to testing, reporting, and follow-up.
- Assess business processes and develop testing strategies to evaluate key controls.
- Identify control weaknesses and assess the risk and potential impact of issues identified.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor agreed remediation actions and ensure improvements are implemented appropriately.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Apply traditional audit techniques and data analysis to assess evolving business risks.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of audit practices and coverage.

- Strong audit, assurance, risk, or controls experience within financial services.
- Experience assessing business processes, risks, and key controls.
- The ability to understand complex and evolving business risks and develop appropriate audit approaches.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience communicating findings to senior stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple audits or projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach alongside the confidence to constructively challenge stakeholders.
