Internal Auditor 12 Month FTC

Location: UK Travel to various sites
Working Hours: Monday - Friday core hours

About the Role

As an Internal Auditor, you'll support the delivery of the internal audit plan across multiple business units, helping to ensure strong governance, effective controls, and compliance across the organisation.

You'll work closely with operational and finance teams, conducting audits both remotely and on-site, while developing a broad understanding of how a major food manufacturing business operates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial audits across multiple business locations.
  • Support audit activities related to AI systems, governance and controls.
  • Investigate and manage whistleblowing cases where required.
  • Contribute to operational controls reviews and business continuity assessments.
  • Produce clear audit findings and recommendations to support continuous improvement.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.

About You

We're looking for someone who is curious, motivated and eager to develop a career in Internal Audit. While previous audit experience is beneficial, it isn't essential. What matters most is your professional qualification, analytical mindset and willingness to learn.

You'll enjoy working across different sites and functions, building relationships and helping the business strengthen its controls and processes.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Fully qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting principles and governance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel regularly across assigned sites.
