Position: Internal Auditor
Salary: £35,000
Location: Field Based
We’re looking for a detail-driven Internal Auditor to join our Audit Team. As part of this role, you will support the Internal Audit Manager and work closely with Compliance and Operational Teams to identify potential risks, with a particular focus on venue machine operations, cash security, and other key operational control areas, ensuring compliance with the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP).
About you:
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, and a tenacious approach with focus and determination to get the job done effectively.
- You will need a valid UK drivers licence.
- Proven auditing experience, preferably within an audit or compliance environment, with knowledge of UK Gambling legislation is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with managers and staff at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage and prioritise daily workload effectively.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to see projects through to completion.
- A collaborative team player, able to build positive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Comfortable handling confidential information on a regular basis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced IT capability, particularly in MS Excel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

As part of the team you will:
- The role is field based and it will involve a significant level of attendance at the Groups’ trading venues throughout UK. Attendance at the Group’s Head Office in Milton Keynes will also be required.
- To comply with all current legislative requirements, ensuring that the machines/income protection departments and operational units meet all of their legal requirements.
- To be clearly independent to be able to objectively assess performance particularly on areas of control so that external auditors can rely on work undertaken.
- To ensure that standards of customer service both internally and externally are delivered to the highest level and opportunities to improve are identified to support the gaming machine team’s business objectives.
- Perform audit testing, identify audit failures, produce audit reports with detailed recommendations and agreed timetabled action plans.
- Follow up unsatisfactory audit findings and recommendations to ensure agreed actions have been taken.
- To examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company’s systems of internal control. Liaising with External Auditors where required.
- Compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations
