If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Internal Auditor Analytics.

About the Role

The Internal Auditor Analytics role in Global Audit Analytics (GAA) is a great fit for someone who wants real impact at pace: you’ll partner closely with audit teams to turn audit objectives into automated, data-driven testing and statistical insight, improving both the quality and efficiency of audit delivery. It’s a high-visibility, consultative position where your technical credibility matters—you’ll design, build, and embed innovative analytical solutions that auditors actually use, helping Internal Audit move from sample-based work to smarter, more continuous, and more reliable assurance, while building strong relationships and influence across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with audit teams to translate audit objectives into practical, technology-enabled analytics and automated testing
  • Identify and capture key risk drivers across Lines of Business/Functions/regions to help Audit monitor risk and make smarter, timelier resourcing and scoping decisions
  • Design and deliver innovative tests of control using digitised artefacts (data) and modern analytical techniques
  • Build and run continuous controls testing using advanced analytics to improve coverage, frequency, and assurance quality
  • Develop strong understanding of relevant data sources, structures, and metadata across selected areas and regions to enable effective audit use
  • Deliver analytics solutions through an agile, iterative approach—adapting quickly to changing audit needs and maximising value
  • Ensure solutions are delivered safely and sustainably, managing operational risk (e.g., cross-border data transfer) and complying with the Global Internal Audit Instruction Manual and relevant policy/regulation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
