About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Auditor to join an established Berkshire-based financial services business, working as part of a collaborative internal audit function with good exposure to senior management, on an interim basis for 12+ months.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of audits from planning and scoping through to fieldwork and reporting, assessing key risks and controls and identifying practical opportunities to strengthen the control environment.
- Produce clear, concise reports and work closely with stakeholders to agree and monitor actions.
- Contribute to risk assessments and audit planning.
- Support the preparation of committee papers.
- Help ensure the function continues to meet relevant professional and regulatory standards.

Requirements
- Around 3–5 years’ audit experience, ideally gained within banking, consumer finance or the wider financial services sector.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- A questioning mindset.
- The confidence to constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.

Additional Information
- Hybrid working is on offer and the expectation is three days in the Berkshire office each week.
- Applicants must already hold full UK working rights and have relevant UK-based experience.
- Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
