About The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Store Auditor to join our Internal Audit function. This is a field-based role covering the Scotland area, where you will ensure that our stores and specialist departments operate safely, efficiently, and in line with required standards.
You will conduct detailed audits, investigate potential issues, and provide clear recommendations that support continuous improvement across the business. This role includes auditing retail stores as well as specialist departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits across stores within the Southern & East Midlands regions, reviewing inventory accuracy, compliance, and operational procedures.
- Verify the existence and accuracy of pledge, retail, and cash inventory.
- Audit processes within specialist departments, supporting stock counts and reconciliations.
- Review compliance across key areas including Know Your Customer (KYC), contractual documentation, health & safety, and security controls.
- Ensure all security procedures and equipment use meet required standards.
- Work collaboratively with store teams to agree action plans that address issues identified during audits.
- Produce clear, evidence-based audit reports using audit software.
- Escalate significant operational concerns such as serious health & safety risks or suspected fraud.
- Support additional business activities such as store acquisitions and centralised stock counts when required.

Essential Requirements
- Strong commitment to professional and ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently or within a small team.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to plan and manage your own schedule.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident engaging with colleagues at all levels.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region and stay overnight when necessary.
- Full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
