Internal Auditor

Fitch Group is currently seeking an Internal Auditor, based in either London or Manchester.
About the Team
The Internal Audit function is responsible for providing independent assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of Fitch’s governance, risk management, and internal control processes. The team plays a critical role in evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and providing constructive recommendations to strengthen the control environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Delivering risk-based internal audit engagements in accordance with Internal Audit’s procedures and agreed timelines.
- Performing process walkthroughs to understand business activities, key risks, and relevant controls.
- Documenting risks, controls, testing procedures, sampling, audit evidence, and conclusions.
- Communicating with stakeholders to spotlight risks, discuss audit findings, investigate root causes, and agree action plans.
- Preparing clear and constructive audit reports for senior management.
- Monitoring and verifying the timely implementation of agreed actions.

You May be a Good Fit if You Have
- Proven experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, controls assurance or a comparable role.
- The ability to identify, assess, and communicate risks, with practical and proportionate recommendations.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and record keeping.
What Would Make You Stand Out
- Financial services experience and knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with auditing software or GRC applications, particularly Optro or MetricStream.
- Strong report writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality professional reports that articulate complex audit findings in a clear and concise manner.
