Internal Business Development Manager (IBDM)

An exciting role has arisen for a proactive, ambitious, and committed individual to join as an Internal Business Development Manager (IBDM). Working as part of the Business Development team, this role will assist in raising the profile of Puma Investments and its range of investment offers. The primary focus will be on developing existing and new relationships with wealth managers and IFAs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the External BDMs, offering ongoing support and management to our clients (current and prospective)
  • Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure effective communication relating to inbound contact, requests for literature and investor information
  • Handle telephone queries from financial intermediaries and actioning as appropriate
  • Responsible for helping to increase fundraising through proactive measures such as cold calling to arrange meetings and any initiatives agreed with the Head of Business Development
  • Attend roadshows and events alongside the regional BDM and act as an ambassador for the Puma Investments business
  • Work closely with the Client Relations, Operations (Client Onboarding and Fund Operations & Data), and Marketing teams
  • Contribute to the delivery of regional, quarterly fundraising targets

Experience and Skills Required

  • Demonstrable client relationship management skills, attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work
  • Prior experience in a sales role, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Track record of achieving KPIs
  • Possess a drive and attitude to excel in a high-performing sales-based environment whilst maintaining high levels of client service and integrity demonstrated across the business
  • Experience working with and updating CRM systems
  • Sound commercial common sense
  • Good academic record
