Role Description

The Internal Business Development Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Wolverhampton. The role involves managing and developing existing customer accounts, identifying new sales opportunities, and supporting the growth of the company’s fasteners and CNC components portfolio within oil and gas, defence, power generation, and rail industries.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Responding to customer inquiries
  • Preparing quotations
  • Following up on leads
  • Maintaining accurate records in CRM and internal systems

The position requires close collaboration with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and met. The executive will also assist in creating sales reports, forecasting demand, and contributing to internal process improvements that enhance customer service and business performance.

Qualifications

  • Commercial and sales skills: ability to manage accounts, generate new business, negotiate pricing, and close opportunities.
  • Customer service and communication skills: strong interpersonal abilities, professional telephone and email communication, and a client-focused mindset.
  • Organizational and administrative skills: competence in CRM usage, data entry, quotation preparation, and accurate documentation.
  • Technical and industry awareness: understanding of engineering or manufacturing environments; experience with fasteners, CNC components, or related industrial products is an advantage.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: capability to interpret customer requirements, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in Wolverhampton, collaborating with cross-functional teams and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
