Internal Communication Specialist - Cardiff - New
Contract Role - Inside IR35
A leading financial services organisation requires an Internal Communication Specialist to deliver clear, timely, and engaging information to employees across digital and in-person channels.
Suitable candidates will have experience of translating complex technical requirements into clear, engaging messages that align and motivate both technical and non-technical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change Management Support: Lead the communications strategy for AI/data governance policies to minimize friction.
- Leadership Positioning: Draft executive communications, technical blogs, and talking points for staff.
- Event Production: Design and execute high-impact technical town halls, AI demo days, etc.
- Technical Translation: Distill complex information into accessible, relatable stories for the broader company.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Tech Literacy: Familiarity with IT terminology, agile development methodologies, and the basics of artificial intelligence/machine learning workflows.
- Agile Communications: Proven ability to work in high-velocity environments where project directions can shift rapidly.
- Data Fluency: Experience tracking communication metrics using analytics dashboards and adapting strategies based on real-time engagement data.
- Collaboration Tools: Experience of modern workplace tools (such as Slack, Teams, Notion) and basic multimedia production tools (Canva, Figma, video editing software).
