About the Company

This is a 12 month fixed term contract. iQ is one of the UK's biggest providers of student accommodation, committed to giving over 37,000 students in 87 sites across 29 UK cities their best year yet. Our London and Manchester based support teams are the cog that keeps the iQ wheels turning, providing our brilliant site teams with everything they need to deliver a fantastic student experience every day.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic internal comms advisor who’s ready to get stuck into all thing's internal comms at iQ. Working with the Head of Internal Comms to create engaging content, clearly communicate key messages and updates, support the development of our culture and constantly find ways to engage our iQers. Our Internal Communications advisor role sits with our wider MarComms team which is made up of Marketing and Communications. This dynamic team is the place where the iQ brand, and the unique experience that we offer our residents is defined and looked after, all based on insights from students, their parents, and the wider business - aimed at giving students their Best Year Yet!

Responsibilities

  • Write and distribute our weekly and monthly employee e-newsletters
  • Source internal stories and write internal articles that support our company values, customer stories and culture
  • Manage the day-to-day upkeep of MyiQ intranet and Viva Engage - publishing articles, keeping content fresh and relevant
  • Manage the flow of news stories and check other news content submitted by iQers
  • Lead on an upcoming myiQ intranet audit and redesign
  • Support and lead on key strategic campaigns and projects
  • Provide quarterly reporting on internal channels and post campaigns
  • Manage our iQ WOW Awards nomination process and supporting execution and development of the annual awards ceremony
  • Assist in updating the comms activity planner, developing existing internal communications channels
  • Help cascade important business communications and updates
  • Understand and pre-empt internal communications needs of all target groups, and ensure appropriate communications are prepared and delivered
  • Build and maintain day-to-day internal relationships, connecting with our site and office teams
  • Assist in planning and delivering company events including our annual conference
  • Support and advise in the marketing and promotion of company surveys, employee recognition programs and employee appreciation
  • Help develop, co-ordinate and monitor implementation of communications plans
  • Articulate information clearly and effectively - deliver clear, concise copy to deadline
  • Assist in developing and delivering leadership communications
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure alignment and consistency in planning and messaging
  • Find ways to engage and effectively communicate in a way that resonates with iQers
  • Help to create a world class company culture
