How you'll power our business

As an Internal Communications Executive, you'll play a key role in helping our colleagues feel informed, connected and part of what's happening across DCC Energy GB. Working closely with the Internal Communications Specialist and Head of Culture & Communications, you'll help bring our stories to life by creating engaging content, supporting campaigns and events, managing internal communication channels and finding new ways to connect with colleagues across our businesses and locations.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to bring your own ideas, creativity and energy while helping to shape the colleague experience across DCC Energy GB. Most importantly, you'll help ensure our communications are relevant, engaging and genuinely useful to the people who work here.

Here's what you'll be doing

  • Deliver engaging internal communications that keep colleagues informed, connected and involved.
  • Help manage our internal communication channels, ensuring content remains relevant, useful and engaging.
  • Find and share great stories from across our businesses.
  • Support campaigns, activities and events that bring our purpose, values and culture to life.
  • Create leadership communications, presentations, briefings and talking points.
  • Help plan and deliver Town Halls, colleague events and engagement sessions.
  • Support communications for change, transformation programmes and key business projects.
  • Track and report on engagement across communication channels, campaigns and activities.

What we'll need from you

Essential

  • Previous experience in an Internal Communications, Communications or similar role.
  • Experience communicating with frontline, operational, field-based or non-desk-based colleagues using a variety of channels and approaches.
  • Experience managing internal communication channels, intranets or employee engagement platforms.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident use of Microsoft 365 and content creation tools such as Canva.
  • Experience creating and editing digital content, including graphics and video.
  • Experience supporting internal communication campaigns, events or colleague engagement initiatives.
