You’ll work closely with senior leaders and teams across the Group to create clear, engaging and consistent communications that support our business ambitions, enable change and strengthen our culture.
A major focus will be bringing Building Growth Together (BGT) to life through compelling stories, creative content and effective communication across the organisation.
You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, using modern, digital-first approaches to make internal communications engaging, accessible and impactful.

About the Role
You’ll take ownership of our internal communications approach, working closely with senior leaders and teams across the Group to make sure our people are connected to our priorities and understand what’s happening across the business.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering an internal communications strategy that supports our business priorities and embeds Building Growth Together across the organisation.
- Working with senior leaders and the Executive Leadership Team to shape messaging, presentations and key communications.
- Leading communications for transformation and change programmes, helping colleagues understand what is changing, why it matters and what it means for them.
- Owning the internal communications calendar, channels and cadence, ensuring communications are well planned, timely and consistent.
- Turning complex strategies and business updates into clear, compelling and engaging content for a diverse range of audiences.
- Creating content across a range of formats, including written communications, presentations, visual assets, video, podcasts and interactive content.
- Developing two-way communication channels that encourage colleague feedback, share stories and celebrate achievements across our practices and teams.
- Supporting sensitive, urgent and crisis communications, providing clear and considered messaging when it matters most.
- Using analytics, KPIs and audience insight to understand what is working and continuously improve our communications.
- Ensuring communications are inclusive, accessible and aligned with our brand, values and tone of voice.
- Working closely with teams across the business to make sure communications are built into project planning from the start.
- Using SharePoint and other digital platforms to deliver engaging, targeted and accessible internal communications.
- Ultimately, you’ll help ensure our communications are clear, creative, consistent and connected to our wider business strategy.

We’re looking for someone who is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll be comfortable advising senior stakeholders while also getting stuck into creating content yourself.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in an internal communications role within a complex, fast-paced organisation.
- Strong experience supporting change, transformation or strategic business programmes.
- The confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders and provide communications advice.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex information simple, relevant and engaging.
- A strong creative eye and the ability to produce polished, professional and on-brand communications and documents.
- Experience using a range of digital communication channels, with a strong understanding of mobile-first communication.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint and internal communications platforms.
- Experience with marketing automation, customer data or audience segmentation platforms.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A data-led approach, with confidence using analytics, dashboards and KPIs to measure communications effectiveness.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how communications can support business performance.
- A pragmatic, collaborative and proactive approach.

Desirable Experience
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience working within a multi-site, retail, healthcare or professional services environment.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or value creation programmes.
- Advanced design skills using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Experience creating multimedia content, including video and podcasts.
- Experience developing communication governance, brand guidelines or toolkits.
- Experience building, managing or optimising SharePoint content hubs.
- Knowledge of audience segmentation and personalisation strategies.
- Experience establishing or developing an internal communications function.
