Internal Communications Manager

What You'll Be Doing
You'll work across the Group, with senior stakeholders, employee networks, and wider functions to plan, create, and manage communications activity across internal channels.
We're looking for an organized and thoughtful communicator, who can translate strategy into clear actionable information that every person in the business can appreciate.
As such, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Head of Internal Communications in delivering the internal communications strategy, ensuring activity is well planned, timely, and aligned to business and people priorities.
- Drafting, editing, and coordinating colleague communications, including leadership updates, news stories, campaign materials, event content, FAQs, briefing notes, and colleague messages.
- Managing day-to-day internal communication channels, including Teams, SharePoint, Connect, newsletters, colleague updates, and other communication forums.
- Coordinating communications for engagement surveys, wellbeing, recognition, reward, and benefits activity, performance cycles, employee networks, and organizational change.
- Working with stakeholders across HR, leadership teams, and wider functions to gather information, shape messages, and ensure communications are clear, consistent, and colleague-centered.
- Supporting communications for transformation and change programmes, helping colleagues understand what is changing, why it matters, and what it means for them.
- Maintaining communication calendars, campaign plans, and content pipelines so activity is coordinated and appropriately prioritized.
- Using colleague feedback, engagement insight, and channel data to identify practical improvements.
- Helping maintain governance across internal channels, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, accessible, and easy to navigate.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record in the following areas:
- Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, HR communications, corporate communications, or a related role.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible communications.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Good understanding of internal communication channels and how to use them effectively for different audiences and messages.
- Experience of building effective working relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a thoughtful communication style, particularly when handling sensitive or time-critical messages.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Basic DBS check.
