Salary: £35,042.05 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full-time position, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
Location: Cheltenham
Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part-time employees), subject to achieving and maintaining clearance requirements.

About The Role
We are actively seeking a self-motivated, resilient, and collaborative Internal Distribution Team Leader to manage our goods processing and delivery team. In this dual-purpose operative and supervisory role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe, secure, and highly efficient materials handling service for our client. You will be responsible for balancing hands-on distribution tasks with team mentorship and performance management to consistently achieve contract SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Prioritise tasks and consignments to ensure daily operational timelines and SLAs are met
- Resource the goods receiving and delivering function properly during and outside normal hours
- Maintain high standards of materials handling, security, accountability, and onward delivery
- Schedule staffing resources dynamically to meet fluctuations in freight volumes
- Mentor, coach, and develop the distribution team while promoting wellbeing and empowerment
- Produce weekly and monthly service performance reviews to highlight areas for improvement
- Monitor stakeholder relationships to ensure contractual requirements and KPIs are fully met
- Act as a change advocate supporting sustainability, green initiatives, and carbon footprint reduction
- Provide SME advice to the client and the on-site G4S management team
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure prompt reporting of health and safety issues

Essential Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders
- Strong focus on customer service and experience with Google and Microsoft Office suites
- High personal resilience, self-motivation, and a strong attention to detail
- IOSH Managing Safely certification, Counterbalance Forklift licence, or a willingness to undergo training
- Management qualification at Level 3 or above
- Valid, full clean driving licence
