Job Title: 2 x Internal Medicine Clinician positions
Location: Southfields Veterinary Specialists
Job type: Full Time, Permanent role
Hours: 4 day week, equal part in Medicine on call rota

Applications are invited for the position of Internal Medicine Clinician.
We are seeking an enthusiastic but level-headed individual to join the established Internal Medicine Team in our fantastic purpose-built 42,000 sq. ft hospital.
About Us
At Southfields Veterinary Specialists, our brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital is home to a multidisciplinary team, with boarded specialists across Neurology, Soft tissue/ Orthopaedics, Diagnostic Imaging, Anaesthesia, Oncology, Radiotherapy, Ophthalmology and Exotics.
Our facilities include a dedicated endoscopy suite with a wide range of equipment, on-site CT, MRI and fluoroscopy, a fully equipped in-house laboratory, and dedicated ICU and feline wards.
The Internal Medicine team comprises a highly skilled medicine nursing team (including one VTS), four ECVIM-CA Diplomates and an ECVIM-CA Resident, alongside rotating interns and PCAs, creating a collaborative and well-supported environment for managing a diverse and complex caseload.

Located only 30 minutes by train from central London, but within easy reach of the beautiful Essex countryside and coast, we are also extremely well located for international travel by air and train.
Your Role And Responsibilities
- Managing an interesting and varied Medicine caseload on a daily basis
- Participation in an out of hours rota- currently one weekday per week and 1 in 4 weekends
- Providing a caring, comprehensive, and contextualised service to our patients, clients and referring vets
- Ensuring prompt and complete communication to clients and referring vets
- Driving quality in patient care and clinical outcomes
- Positive collaboration and co-operation with colleagues in other disciplines
- Provision of CPD including in house lectures and ‘lunch and learns’
- Supporting marketing activities to promote the Service
- Delivering teaching to Junior Associates
- Contributing to clinical governance especially in the area of Infection Prevention and Control
- Supporting the aims and initiatives of Southfields SLT, Linnaeus and Mars
- Observing the Mars Five Principles at all times
The ideal applicant would be an ECVIM or ACVIM Diplomate or have completed an ECVIM or ACVIM Residency.
