Internal Recruiter
Lancaster / Hybrid Working
£45,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Are you an experienced internal or agency recruiter who enjoys shaping value propositions, finding great people and helping hiring managers make better decisions? Would you like to build an internal recruitment function where your sourcing skills, commercial judgement and ideas will have a visible impact?
Our client is a growing technology business that helps public sector organisations build and operate secure networks and connectivity services. Following investment and continued growth, this new role has been created to take a more proactive approach to hiring across the business.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of recruitment from the initial brief through to offer. You’ll work closely with managers across technical, commercial, operations and professional services teams, building their confidence in direct hiring and helping them secure the people they need as the business grows.
This is an opportunity to shape how recruitment works, not simply manage vacancies through an existing process. Some roles have developed around long-serving employees with unusually broad responsibilities. You’ll need the confidence to challenge a brief constructively, explain what the candidate market can offer and help managers decide whether to adjust the role or develop the right person after appointment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
