About the Role
This is an in-house recruitment role supporting end-to-end hiring across our care home network. You will work closely with home managers, operational leaders, and the wider People and Culture team to fill a high volume of roles across care, nursing, and support functions, as well as specialist and leadership positions. You will be the first point of contact for candidates and a trusted partner for hiring managers, ensuring a consistent, values-driven, and legally compliant recruitment process throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activity across multiple homes and job families, from vacancy briefing through to offer and onboarding handover.
- Source candidates through a range of channels including job boards, social media, referrals, and recruitment agencies, building pipelines for hard-to-fill and recurring roles.
- Build strong relationships with home managers and operational leaders, advising on job design, candidate assessment, and selection best practice.
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and maintaining quality and value for money.
- Ensure all recruitment activity is compliant with right-to-work requirements and supports our UKVI sponsorship obligations where applicable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the applicant tracking system, producing regular management information on vacancy status, time-to-fill, and cost-per-hire.
- Coordinate and support assessment, interview, and pre-employment checking processes, including DBS checks and reference management.
- Contribute to employer branding and candidate attraction activity, including the development of job adverts, social content, and careers messaging.
- Support the wider People and Culture team on onboarding improvements, workforce planning, and recruitment-related projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
