About the Role
Metal Solutions Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Internal Sales team member to join our commercial team.
This is a varied role involving metal sales, customer service, quotations, CRM management, and supporting our recoiling operation. You will be a key point of contact for customers, providing product advice, preparing quotations, and helping to convert enquiries into successful orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries relating to coil products.
- Provide customers with product information, technical support, and pricing.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations and follow up opportunities.
- Develop strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional sales.
- Maintain accurate customer and project information within the CRM system.
- Monitor outstanding quotations and maximize conversion into orders.
- Identify dormant customers and opportunities for account development.
- Assist walk-in customers with enquiries and purchases.
- Handle customer complaints and work with management to resolve issues.
- Support the wider sales team and coordinate with production and other internal departments.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is appropriately filed.
- Produce CRM reports and provide feedback to management where required.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and raising issues.
- Provide general administration and holiday cover across the team as required.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required.

About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and commercially focused, with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to provide great customer service.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in an internal sales or customer-facing sales role.
- Knowledge of metal, coil products, or a related industry is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good sales skills, including cross-selling and upselling.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities effectively.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your work.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
