The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive a high level of service while supporting the sales team with quotations, order processing, administration and day-to-day coordination activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Prepare and issue customer quotations, ensuring all information is accurate and communicated promptly.
  • Process sales orders, invoices and dispatch documentation efficiently.
  • Monitor customer orders and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems as required.
  • Follow up quotations and support sales activities to maximise opportunities.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability and delivery timescales.
  • Manage returns and resolve customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Produce relevant documentation including certificates, reports and customer correspondence.
  • Support wider administrative and operational functions across the business.
  • Assist with marketing activities, exhibitions and website updates where required.
  • Provide cover and support for colleagues during periods of absence.

About You

  • Previous experience within a Sales Administration, Internal Sales, Customer Service or Commercial Support role.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience using ERP, CRM or accountancy systems would be advantageous.
  • A proactive and flexible approach with a willingness to learn.
