Our client is a family-owned business with over 30 years of success as a leading manufacturer and distributor of window and door hardware.
On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a commercially minded individual to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and timely quotations.
Package
- Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm FULLY OFFICE BASED
- Company pension scheme

- Salary Up To £27,000 (DOE)
Sales Advisor/Estimator Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries and orders via telephone, email, and fax, ensuring they are processed promptly and efficiently.
- Manage web orders, identify errors, and resolve issues following training, while liaising with warehouse staff and couriers to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
- Provide customers with product support, carry out product research, and develop product knowledge through ongoing training.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations, ensuring correct pricing and company margins, while identifying relevant cross-selling and product-gap opportunities.
- Manage the quotation pipeline, including saving and updating quotation records, following up outstanding quotations, and closing inactive opportunities.
- Analyse customer purchasing activity to identify cross-selling, growth, and reduced-spend opportunities, proactively following these up where appropriate.
- Review and adjust customer-specific margins as competence develops and support increasingly technical customer calls through continued product training.

Essential
- Previous experience in an office-based customer service, order-processing, or sales support role
- A confident, professional telephone manner
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
Desirable
- Previous knowledge of Sage 200 (an advantage but not a necessity)
- Previous experience in a sales, telesales, or quotation role
- Experience within a trade, construction, hardware, or building products environment
