Internal Sales – Clothing & Workwear
Location: Inverness
Full-Time | Permanent
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our Clothing & Workwear team at MacGregor Industrial Supplies.
This is a varied internal sales role where you’ll work directly with customers, helping them find the right clothing, workwear and PPE solutions for their business. You’ll handle enquiries, prepare quotations, process orders and build strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
You don’t need to know everything about workwear from day one. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and the confidence to talk to customers and identify what they need.
What you'll be doing
- Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email and in person
- Providing advice on clothing, workwear and related products
- Preparing quotations and following them through to order
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Proactively following up quotations and sales opportunities
- Building strong relationships with existing customers
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales and introduce customers to our wider product range
- Working closely with our Branding and Embroidery team on personalised workwear orders
- Liaising with suppliers regarding products, pricing and availability
- Keeping customers updated on their orders
- Supporting the wider sales team and contributing towards departmental sales and margin targets
- Ensuring customers receive a consistently high standard of service

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
