About the Company

We are looking for an experienced Internal Sales professional to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background within the electrical wholesale industry who understands the products, customers and fast-paced nature of the trade.

About the Role

As an Internal Sales professional, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, handling enquiries and providing a high level of product and commercial support. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and the wider sales team to ensure orders are processed efficiently and customers receive the right products at the right price.

Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming sales enquiries via phone and email
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
  • Identifying opportunities to increase sales and develop customer accounts
  • Preparing and following up quotations
  • Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Providing product advice and technical information where required
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and lead times
  • Working closely with external sales representatives and the wider sales team
  • Ensuring customers receive excellent service at all times
  • Keeping up to date with electrical products, brands and industry developments

Qualifications

Electrical wholesaler experience is essential. We are specifically looking for candidates who have worked within an electrical wholesaler, electrical distributor or electrical trade counter environment and have a genuine understanding of the electrical industry.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in internal sales within electrical wholesale
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products and terminology
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • Experience preparing quotations and processing orders
  • Commercial awareness with a strong sales focus
  • The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • A proactive, positive and team-oriented approach
