About the company
Osprey Engineering Solutions are hiring on behalf of a well-established specialist supplier of valves, actuators and associated fluid control products, offering technical support and product solutions to customers across a wide range of industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a commercially minded and technically capable Internal Process Sales Co-ordinator to join their small, collaborative team.
This is a varied, hands-on position that combines technical sales, customer service and practical engineering. You’ll handle everything from enquiries and quotations through to order processing, supplier liaison, account management and new business development.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to sales enquiries by phone and email, establishing each customer’s technical and commercial requirements
- Prepare accurate quotations and process customer orders promptly and efficiently
- Place purchase orders with suppliers.
- Keep customers updated on pricing, availability, order progress and delivery dates
- Follow up quotations, gather customer feedback and progress opportunities
- Identify new customers and grow business with new and existing accounts
- Manage key accounts through regular contact by phone, email and customer visits where appropriate
- Resolve customer queries and service issues, working with colleagues and suppliers to find practical solutions
- Manage technical enquiries and projects with a responsive, reliable turnaround
- Interpret customer requirements, process standards and project specifications to identify suitable products

What we’re looking for
- Previous internal or technical sales experience. Within the valve, flow or similar industry is highly desirable.
- Understanding of systems and processes, including relevant standards and specifications.
- Confident, professional communication skills by phone and email
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills, and confidence visiting customers
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple enquiries, orders and projects
- Good problem-solving skills and a team-player attitude
- Good IT skills and accurate record keeping

Hours and benefits
- Monday to Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm, Friday 8:30am–4:30pm (one-hour lunch)
- 20 days’ holiday, rising to 25 with length of service, plus bank holidays
