As our Internal Sales Executive, you won’t just support the team—you’ll be the engine powering the growth of our successful LED Lighting brand across the Electrical Wholesale Channel. Working at the nerve center of our sales operation, you’ll partner closely with External Sales to unlock profitable growth and execute ambitious strategic plans in the high-performance LED Lighting sector.

FULL TRAINING will be provided to the successful candidate - you will probably be a recent graduate or someone keen to transfer into a sales role from within a distribution, inventory or warehouse role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and qualify potential customers through prospecting, direct contact, email campaigns, and online research, focusing on proactive up-selling with selected accounts.
- Work proactively on increasing customer contact to promote sales growth, targeting focused accounts and new business opportunities (Target list to be agreed and approved by UK Sales Director) whilst maintaining a regular call cadence.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals within these clients, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as the primary contact for customer enquiries, providing tailored solutions and building strong relationships by answering sales queries from customers via email or telephone.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline in Sugar CRM, ensuring all calls are logged.
- Use the Integral LED Portal and future quotation platforms effectively.
- Analyse customer feedback and sales data to identify trends and improvement areas.
- Provide regular updates on sales metrics and forecasts.
- Work closely with regional Key Account Managers to align strategies and achieve targets.

- Quote and Proposal Generation: Drafting initial quotes and handling revisions in a timely manner to enable the KAM to present in real-time.
- Order Management: Tracking orders from entry to delivery, ensuring the customer is kept updated without the KAM needing to chase operations.
- CRM Hygiene: Ensuring customer data, meeting notes, and deal stages are updated, providing a "single source of truth" for the account.
Proactive Lead and Opportunity Management
- Internal teams are often the "eyes and ears" of the office, spotting trends before the KAM does.
- Gap Analysis: Reviewing purchase history to see if a customer has stopped buying a specific product line and alerting the KAM to a potential churn risk.
- Inbound Qualification: Vetting incoming leads from existing accounts to ensure the KAM is only spending time on high-value opportunities.
- Cross-Selling: Identifying small-scale needs within an account that can be handled internally, freeing the KAM to focus on enterprise-level contracts.
Communication Hub
- Be the consistent point of contact for customers when the KAM is traveling or in meetings.
- The "Inside Partner" Role: Customers should feel they have dedicated contacts within the office who understand their account just as well as the KAM.
- Internal Liaison: Acting as the bridge between the customer and other departments like Finance (for credit limits) or Technical Support.
Customer visits and attendance at trade shows
- Support customer visits with External Sales team to demonstrate products and enhance visibility.
- From time to time, attend trade shows to network and identify new business opportunities.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Some previous experience within a customer service, internal sales or inventory role.
- Knowledge of LED lighting and electrical wholesale industry beneficial, with an eagerness to learn about our products, the technical concepts behind them, and an affinity for taking on board complex technical data.
- A strong sales profile, with account management and relationship building skills.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- High degree of IT literacy, ideally with CRM proficiency.
- Technical awareness of lighting and electrical industry.
- Electrical wholesale experience is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
- Critical thinking and organisational skills to handle a variety of situations.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
