Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to join our Cardiff branch. Reporting directly to the Sales Office Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our sales strategy by managing existing accounts, developing new business opportunities, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing customer accounts to maximise sales and profitability
  • Open and develop new accounts with a focus on profitable growth
  • Engage with customers via phone and face-to-face to process orders accurately using our CRM system
  • Provide quotes and maximise add-on sales opportunities
  • Proactively contact lapsed and potential new customers to generate sales
  • Work closely with warehouse and external sales teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
  • Support credit control and other internal departments as required
  • Assist on the trade counter when needed
  • Promote the full range of products across the group

Requirements

  • Previous internal sales experience, ideally within construction distribution
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good numeracy and IT skills, with attention to detail
  • Target-driven and proactive approach to sales
