GMP Recruitment is recruiting an enthusiastic and commercially driven Internal Sales Executive on behalf of a successful and well-established organisation in the Droitwich area.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a driven individual who enjoys building relationships over the telephone, overcoming objections and delivering excellent customer service.
The role
NO COLD CALLING REQUIRED!
As an Internal Sales Executive, you will maximise sales opportunities by following up with prospective customers, progressing quotations and supporting customers throughout their buying journey.
You will also play an important role in customer retention, speaking with customers who may be considering cancelling an order, understanding their concerns and identifying appropriate solutions.
This is a varied, fast-paced position offering an attractive commission structure and an OTE of up to £38,000.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively contact prospective customers identified through internal reports.
- Follow up customer quotations and enquiries to generate new sales opportunities.
- Deliver excellent service to new and existing customers.
- Create a smooth, professional and supportive customer journey.
- Understand and overcome customer objections to help retain orders.
- Use the tools and options available within the business to provide suitable customer solutions.
- Work closely with Sales Managers to resolve sales queries, concerns and complaints.
- Provide feedback and analysis on customers who do not proceed with a purchase.
- Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations.
- Process sales amendments promptly and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate customer records and communication updates.
- Update daily sales figures and communicate results to the relevant managers.
- Handle incoming telephone enquiries professionally.
- Direct leads and customer information to the appropriate sales personnel.
- Liaise with Customer Service and other departments to resolve urgent customer issues.
- Support the wider internal sales function with additional duties when required.
- Occasionally attend other company sites or events.

About you
The successful candidate will be a confident and empathetic communicator who can quickly build rapport and hold positive, persuasive conversations with customers.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in internal sales, telesales, customer retention or another telephone-based sales environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal abilities.
- A record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- The confidence to handle objections and retain customers.
- A highly organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using CRM systems and other sales tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Flexibility to travel between company sites or attend events when required.
- A commitment to maintaining a professional and safe working environment.

Salary and benefits
- Basic salary of £23,751 per year.
- Commission package offering an OTE of up to £38,000.
- 35-hour working week.
- Monday-to-Friday working hours (09:00-17:00)
