Is this you?

You're confident picking up the phone… You've made outbound calls to customers, you've worked to sales targets, and you get a real sense of satisfaction from turning a quiet account into a busy one. Most of all, you'd rather build long-term customer relationships than chase one-off sales. If that sounds like you, read on.

Unpack a rewarding sales career with Macfarlane Packaging

At Macfarlane Packaging, we're in the business of protecting what matters - our people, our customers and the planet. With over 75 years of industry expertise, we combine stability with innovation in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. We're equally passionate about growing careers, and this is your opportunity to develop yours in a role where the relationships you build make a real difference to our sales success.

Your Role: Internal Sales Executive

Based in our Newcastle team, you'll work hand in hand with a field-based Sales Executive as part of a two-person team, sharing responsibility for a portfolio of customer accounts. While they're out on the road meeting customers, you'll be the voice of those accounts back at base: the first point of contact for enquiries, keeping orders moving, and making proactive outbound calls to existing, lapsed and under-utilised customers to uncover new opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
