Internal Sales Opportunity! Chester-Le-Street location!

This isn’t a cold calling/cold outreach role, this is inside sales in which up selling, providing quotes and providing proposals is the aim of the game.

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Annual base Salary of £30k–£33k DOE. + Fantastic bonus incentives, see below.
  • Bonus schemes applicable, including quarterly bonuses and yearly bonuses. Opportunity to earn considerably more.
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30am-4.30pm. Also, you can work 8-4 or 9-5, my client is very flexible.
  • Full time, permanent position from day one.
  • 25 days leave + Bank holidays
  • Pension contribution scheme

THE BUSINESS

Our client specialises within the Manufacturing & Construction sector. Our client provides innovative environmental solutions across the UK construction industry. They work with merchants, contractors, developers, consultants and civil engineers, providing technical advice alongside market-leading products.

THE ROLE

  • Manage inbound sales enquiries from merchants, contractors, developers and consultants.
  • Generate quotations and technical proposals.
  • Follow up quotations to maximise conversion.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective customers.
  • Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and product innovations.
  • Attend product and sales training sessions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Resolve customer queries quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain regular communication throughout the sales process.
  • Support customers after delivery where required.
  • Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM.
  • Record all customer conversations and interactions.
  • Upload emails and project documentation.
  • Set follow-up tasks and next actions.
  • Ensure opportunities are managed through the sales pipeline

THE PERSON

  • Previous sales experience (internal sales, technical sales or construction sales preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An understanding of the different dynamics between merchants, contractors and developers.
  • Experience preparing quotations or technical proposals.
