CWS are hiring — Internal Sales

Due to the approaching retirement of a valued colleague, an opportunity has become available to join our team.

CWS is a Birmingham-based specialist electrical distributor with a local and national customer base. We supply a broad range of electrical products but are particularly well known for our expertise in:

  • Specialist cable supply
  • Electrical control gear
  • Lighting
  • Cable supports
  • General electrical installation products

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Internal Sales / Trade Counter professional to join our growing, well-established business.

This is a full-time position combining internal sales, customer service and a busy trade counter environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Handling sales enquiries by phone, email and at the trade counter
  • Advising customers on electrical, lighting and related products
  • Preparing quotations and processing customer orders
  • Identifying opportunities to grow sales and develop accounts
  • Supporting colleagues with general duties during busy periods

What we’re looking for

  • Previous electrical wholesale, trade counter or internal sales experience a distinct advantage
  • Good product knowledge, particularly within electrical and lighting products
  • Confident communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy office and trade counter environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
  • A positive, proactive and commercially minded approach
