Job Summary

The Internal Sales Representative is responsible for managing and developing customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and driving revenue growth from within the office. This role focuses on outbound sales activities, customer account management, and providing excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle outgoing sales inquiries via phone, email, and online channels.
  • Proactively contact existing and potential customers to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and sales orders.
  • Maintain and update customer records in the CRM system.
  • Work closely with the external sales team to support field activities and share market insights.
  • Develop a strong understanding of company products/services to effectively communicate features and benefits.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in internal sales, telesales, or customer account management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or customer service role preferred
  • B2B experience preferred

Key Competencies

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good IT skills including proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercially focussed
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
