Internal Sales Representative

Salary: £27,000 - £37,000 Dependent on experience

We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving commercial success.

Working closely with our Territory Sales Managers, you'll play a key role in maximising sales performance across our Aggregates and Asphalt business while delivering exceptional service to customers.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Internal Sales Representative, you will:

  • Partner with Territory Sales Managers to maximise sales opportunities through volume, revenue, margin and product mix growth.
  • Generate new business through proactive outbound calling and structured sales activity.
  • Develop and manage both existing and prospective customer accounts, including cash and account customers.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and build strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Complete structured customer call cycles and maintain accurate records of all customer interactions.
  • Provide end-to-end account management, including the resolution of customer queries and complaints.
  • Follow up quotations and sales leads promptly, ensuring opportunities are accurately tracked and recorded.
  • Support the preparation and administration of quotations, tenders, local authority bids and major contract opportunities.
  • Gather and share relevant market intelligence with management and commercial teams.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and business updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend and contribute to commercial, operational and customer meetings when required.
