Role Description

The Internal Sales Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sheffield. In this role, the individual will handle incoming sales enquiries, prepare quotations, and process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Daily tasks include responding to customer queries, recommending suitable products and solutions, and maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts. The Internal Sales Representative will support lead generation activities, follow up on sales opportunities, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction. The role also involves assisting trade customers on the trade counter, monitoring order status, and working closely with the operations and purchasing teams to meet customer delivery requirements.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Inside Sales experience with the ability to manage inbound enquiries and convert opportunities into orders.
  • Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on building professional relationships and handling queries effectively.
  • Experience in Lead Generation and Account Management, including follow-up on prospects and maintaining existing customer accounts.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Comfortable using CRM and standard office software; prior experience in industrial, engineering, or distribution sectors is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Sheffield, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant vocational or academic qualifications in sales, business, or a technical discipline are beneficial.
  • Industry knowledge is advantageous, but not essential.
