About The Role

This Internal Sales role in Hinckley is a full time, permanent position paying between £28,000 and £30,000 annually, with a bonus scheme raising on-target earnings to £33,000. Working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours weekly, the successful applicant manages existing accounts, handles incoming enquiries and pursues fresh business prospects. Duties include preparing quotations, nurturing customer relationships and collaborating with external sales colleagues to convert interest into confirmed orders. Benefits cover 33 days holiday, private healthcare, a pension and free parking. This is a varied Internal Sales role combining account management, inbound enquiries and proactive sales. You’ll build relationships with existing customers, identify new opportunities, prepare quotations and work closely with the external sales team to turn enquiries into orders.

Key Responsibilities Of The Internal Sales Role

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing customers.
  • Respond to incoming enquiries and identify opportunities to increase sales.
  • Proactively contact customers and prospects to generate new business.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and follow these through to order.
  • Work closely with the external sales team to support key accounts and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to encourage repeat business.
  • Process orders and keep customer information and sales activity up to date.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.

Requirements For The Internal Sales Role

  • Previous experience in Internal Sales, sales or customer service.
  • Ideally, experience within a construction, engineering, manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify and follow up sales opportunities.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
