Internal Sales Tendering Engineer

In this position, you will be an integral part of the Internal Sales Department. The role will consist of answering customer enquiries via phone or email, interpretation of customer questions and data, and ensuring the Tendering Team always delivers a high level of customer service and satisfaction. A requirement is also to provide support for all internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities

  • Become competent in the selecting of pump and spares accessories.
  • Working to gain in-depth knowledge of internal sales processes and procedures.
  • Answering calls on the phone queues and assisting with customer queries.
  • Working to achieve agreed KPIs and targets as prioritized by the department Manager.
  • Help to maintain all records and procedures where necessary.
  • Learn and engage to manage and develop both professionally and personally.
  • Always comply to all Health and Safety standards ensuring proper reporting when necessary.

External: Customers, external sales team, colleagues based in other Xylem facilities, and facility visitors of any description

Skills/Experience Required

  • Previous experience of working within an engineering environment, ideally in the water industry and working with Engineers would be advantageous.
  • Experience working with bespoke systems (SAP S/4 HANA) is advantageous, although not essential.
  • Experience within a customer service role dealing with enquiries and/or complaints.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment dealing with customers over the telephone.
  • Literate in spoken and written English.
