Stock Auditor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-focused individual to join our Audit Team as a Stock Auditor.

The Role

This is a predominantly field-based role requiring regular travel across our pub estate, carrying out stocktakes, cash audits, and compliance checks within both wet-led and food-led pubs. The role plays an important part in supporting operational standards, protecting company assets, and helping drive profitability across the business.

You will work closely with pub management teams, providing accurate stock and cash auditing while identifying areas for improvement and supporting compliance with company procedures. Alongside completing audits, you will produce clear reports, highlight risks or discrepancies, and help promote strong operational controls throughout the estate.

You will be responsible for managing your own patch of pubs, building strong working relationships with managers and supporting consistent standards across your area. Alongside your scheduled audits and stocktakes, you may also be involved in additional audit projects, investigations, compliance reviews, and business improvement initiatives as required.

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the confidence to build positive working relationships across pubs and departments. Previous stocktaking, auditing, hospitality, or retail management experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

This role would particularly suit someone currently working as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, Team Leader, or within a stock, compliance, or operational role in hospitality who is looking to develop their career in auditing and business operations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
