Internal Technical Sales Engineer
Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience
Hours: 37 hours per week
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:45pm
- Friday: 8:00am-12:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Vibe Recruit are working on behalf of an established engineering business to recruit an Internal Technical Sales Engineer.
This is a varied role combining technical sales, customer service and order management. You will support customers with product selection, quotations and orders while developing strong customer relationships and providing technical and commercial support.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Advise customers on suitable valve/product selection.
- Prepare accurate quotations and process customer orders.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and deliveries.
- Process orders and raise purchase orders using the ERP system.
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers and the external sales team.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Support with customer complaints and relevant quality requirements.
- Occasional travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas.

What We're Looking For
- Ideally, experience within mechanical engineering, technical sales or a similar customer-focused engineering environment.
- Engineering qualification such as C&G, ONC, HNC or HND is desirable but not essential.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Organised, self-motivated and able to manage priorities effectively.
