Internal Technical Sales Executive
Rotherham
£28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Are you an experienced Internal Sales professional looking for a varied role with genuine long-term career prospects?
We're recruiting for an Internal Technical Sales Executive to join a well-established engineering business based in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team where you'll receive full training and have the chance to develop into a more senior role over time.
With an experienced team member due to retire next year, you'll have the opportunity to learn from them and progress into their position, making this an excellent long-term career move. The business is also going through an exciting period of change, creating a varied role where no two days are the same.
This is a relaxed, close-knit team looking for someone with a positive attitude who is happy to get involved and support wherever needed.
Package
- Salary of £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
- No sales targets

Responsibilities of the Internal Technical Sales Executive
- Responding to inbound customer enquiries via email and telephone
- Preparing accurate quotations and following them up to secure orders
- Creating and processing job cards for production
- Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent service throughout the sales process
- Interpreting customer requirements from technical drawings and specifications
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met
- Providing technical support and advice to customers where required
- Working with customers across a global customer base
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day tasks and contributing to a collaborative working environment

Requirements of the Internal Technical Sales Executive
- Previous experience in an Internal Sales, Technical Sales, Sales Support or Customer Service role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience preparing quotations and managing customer enquiries
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. This could have been gained through previous employment or education
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to support the wider team
- A positive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop
- Experience within an engineering or technical environment would be advantageous
